Need hardware? Stay away from Amazon! - Page 5

I've also never had a problem ordering from Amazon. They have been great on the shipping.
The only time I experienced something similar to the OP is when I purchased a monitor from a third party through Amazon. They delayed my shipping for about a month without any explanation or informing me of the delay. When I emailed that third party to cancel the order, they emailed me the next day saying it has already been shipped out. Ship date was the same day as their response...
That experience made me stay away from third parties on Amazon.

if you opted for the free shipping, handling is really not an urgent priority for them, its going to take a few days or at most a week if the item is in stock. Opt for another paid shipping option and most likely it will ship w/in 24hrs (M-F).

ie:I purchased my three monitors from them. The first order for the first two took 1 day for the first monitor and 2 days for 2nd one (its confusing, but they may end up splitting your order as they have multiple warehouses). Recently, I purchased my 3rd monitor and it took 3 days to get it out to shipping, then another week for arriving. I don't mind since I avoided sales tax, recycle fees, and I got free shipping (total ~$50).

Though, I wish they had a rush shipping option just like newegg for a few bucks.

Imo Amazon ships too darn fast. Sometimes it's nice that things take 3 days, but stuff gets here the next day. No chance for buyers remorse lol.
