Doesn't seem like it's power related then, seems like a bad card is most likely frown.gif

psu should be adequate, so i think the card is a dud - RMA it, and get another one

You arent running like 2 cpus, so its draining the power from the card? that psu should be more than enough for a single hd 6950. The card must simply be faulty

Thread Starter
I'm running an Intel Core i5 2500k, the Radeon HD 6950, 8GB G-Skill RAM, a 1TB Samsung HD, and a normal DVD R/W drive. So, yeah I don't believe power is the problem here. Thanks for the help guys, I'll just go ahead and RMA it, and hope for the best.

I am having a similar problem with my 6950 with the 11.5a hotfix drivers.

If i use any 3rd party monitoring or overclocking program it will freeze or lock up after gaming for a few minutes. This happens at stock speeds and overclocked. I removed all the 3rd party programs and overclocked with the ati program and have not had a problem since. I can not even monitor it with GPU-Z or it will freeze in a few minutes.
