Many people enjoy McDonalds food, doesn't mean it's a good food though. Lots of people seem to enjoy Justin Bieber, but that doesn't make him a good musician. What's the problem you say? Well, it pains me that people listen to crappy music, enjoy crappy food and play crappy games.

Lately? Seriously?? You never heard people complain about lousy MoH expansions way back when? Never realized that the first CoD was a mere clone of MoHAA? The franchise is nine years old and there's next to zero innovation. Of course the criticism will become more and more widespread over the time.

And? I don't care about Battlefield.

just be happy and leave it at that
That is probably the lousiest attitude one can think of in these matters.

COD4 was by far one of the more fun gaming experiences I had. I own Black Ops & MW2 but it seems each year it gets worse. Oh well, more reason to try BF3 . All preference though. To each their own.

I rag on CoD rarely, in fact this is the first time I have ever publicly ragged on it. As you can tell, I am a previous fan of the franchise. I just feel I want to say something to other people about it, and other people can voice their opinions as well, as long as they don't spam it or flame it, etc. I just think it's sad that they put out such minimal effort in covering up the fact that they are blatantly releasing 1 game per year to get huge amounts of money for basically the same thing as last year. It's ludacris.

The short answer is: I'll stop ragging on CoD when they start innovating again.

Also, on another note, maybe the problem is bigger than CoD or Infinity Ward. Maybe it's EA. It seems like EA has butchered every series it touches in the same manner. Examples: Need for Speed, Sims, Call of Duty. Need for Speed was cool up until Underground 2, then afterwards, they slowly got worst with some being okay. Sims 3 was great, then they went back to releasing 10 different expansion packs like they did with the Sims 1. I remember what it was like and it was stupid. Every 4 months, there would be a new expansion pack with 1 new major feature and some stupid digital items but that's it.

Sad thing is, people buy this crap. Kids and casual, inexperienced gamers for the most part, but these damn sequels of sequels to the sequels are killing video games, at least that's the way I see it.
Oh come on. "Alright Johnson, now we're gonna (BANG!)..... *random commotion and dust clears, ear ringing stops and you notice a hole in the wall*. JOHNSON! MAN THAT MACHINE GUN! TAKE OUT THOSE TROOPS!" "JOHNSON, GRAB THAT RPG AND TAKE OUT THAT TANK!" never gets old.

It will have slow code built in so that you think you need to upgrade which makes you think they did something to it to warrant new code, thus means you need to buy it now!

So apparantly its "cool" to bash a game that is the "same" since 4, but if the series is still sooo successful even with all your bashing then maybe obviously there is nothing wrong with the game? And that maybe the market truly doesnt want a large scale change within the series.

Even if they decided to change something, what would the change?

Success has nothing to do with quality. The pet rock was successful.

I want to see Call of Duty: Gettysburg. You're not a man until you've spawn camped with a musket.

its only successful because NORPs and sheeple buy it. Not because its a good game or something

look alright mw3, its obviously not gonna be as big a jump from mw1 to mw2, i.e graphics, weapons, killstreaks etc. But ill still bge buying it...

On a side note, its shocking the difference in realism and quality between this and Battlefield 3.

So what? Jealousy for lack of attention to the enthusiast gamer?

and crying about mw3 is gonna make you feel like fought the good fight? how about actually coming up with a list of things you would like to see from IW, All I see thus far from most users is subjective reasonless bashing.

Objectivity will reach a conclusion with more clarity
