Its has a subwoofer the size of a small refrigerator. Secondly, they put out a couple of Class-D powered 2-way speakers.
The port is front-firing, the sub is extremely easy to place. It can handle a thick mix without compressing the sound or running out of steam. Unfortunately pc speakers in the level of midrange and larger are non existent. So if your into loud thumping stuff then look past any pc speakers.
Otherwise they are very good FOR pc speakers and it doesn't distort. For 249 its a very good choice.

How big is your current area?

But compared to their current setup, it'll be a sidegrade and potential downgrade.

^Yip. Spend the money on something else maybe a amp depends how you want and like your sound

if your klipsch break, get the sp2500? the 2200's aren't nearly as good.
I bought the sp2500s, and they are very nice, can change modes pretty easily and fast and they are actually good.

Volume, goddamn these are loud, never gone past 50% volume in normal use. Yes the sub is massive, but obviously there is a reason for it.
Here are mine

then move tHe sub. Try different positions till the bass sounds better. If you do not have a big room then its not going to matter. If one speaker plays louder than a other doesn't mean its better.

I am sure you will read a book today that you do not fully understand, then you will quote it out of context for the next week or so........regardless if it has anything to do, even remotely, with the original question.
