M4A89GTD USB3 - Was your anti-static bag sealed?

My title says it all. I was sold a used motherboard (this I am sure) and I am looking for proof to reinforce this. I know that some motherboard companies put no anti tampering protection on their packaging. I want to make sure that the M4A89GTD Pro USB3 does not come with a sealed anti static bag before I use this as a fact in my case.

Pretty sure Asus test their boards prior to shipping them about (I believe there was a similar thread to this one stating that) and thus they aren't sealed. If you think it's used, check for dust, as that's the most obvious sign, as well as thermal paste around the CPU socket.

My Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo(New) came in a sealed Anti-static bag, I would personally not worry about it, anti-static bags that are in 100% perfect condition wont be Asus`s main priority.

All Asus boards are tested before being sent to retailers IIRC.

My friend's Asus board was NOT sealed.

Sometimes, the retailer tests the product for you not to send you a faulty product

I've purchased several motherboards and all but one from Asus and they were never sealed.

The solder beads around the mounting holes have worn off on both sides of the motherboard which indicate improper installation. This "wear" was on the board at purchase (I did not know of it though).

Edit:Now when I try and get a refund for the defective product, I keep getting told that it was installed improperly and therefore the store won't do jack. This same store also damaged my board further (removed a trace) so ASUS won't touch it either.

If it works, don't worry, if it doesn't work, RMA.

Thats what I thought and it worked for 2 days before frying. Now because the motherboard was used and the store did not handle this properly, I am out that $150 for now.
