Wider or thinner palm grip mouse?

Thread Starter
Well, my birthday is coming up and I plan to use the money I receive to purchase as my generic wireless mouse is having many problems.

I read a lot in the mice section so I know quite a bit.
My budget is around $50 more or less.

The mice that have been suggested have many variances between them.
What I am looking for is something not too heavy, something with a good sensor, something very comfortable, and something able to fit my hands (17 centimeters from the bottom of my palm to the tip of my middle finger). Also something not too heavy.

I'm really into comfort, so I have a pretty main question.

Thinner or wider?

Thinner mice:
Logitech G500
Puretrak Valor

Wider mice:
Razer Deathadder
Mionix Naos 3200

When I game and use the mouse in general, I pretty much always use my wrist to move the mouse. I fear if I get something too heavy like a Deathadder or something to wide such as a Naos 3200, it would be harder for me to do that. I'm really into comfort, so that's another thing you should know.
Something with a clicky mouse wheel would be nice as well as I open lots of new tabs.
Thanks.

Get a basic HP mouse. And then you will have enough money to upgrade your HD+GPU

My suggestion is go to a store (NCIX, Bestbuy, Future Shop, Tiger Direct) and try the mouse out there.

The DA is a really nice and comfortable shape. Its also the best mouse out of the ones you named (excluding the Valor). Build quality is questionable and my DA dragged on my mouse pad. It has one of the best sensor's available. Lift off distance is pretty high so if you reposition your mouse a lot it could get annoying.

I've wondered the same thing, except for claw mice. I don't remember what it was like to hold my G9 otherwise I would know! By the way, I don't know if I would consider the DA wide. I've held a Mionix + Ikari laser, and I don't think it would make a difference, but I only held them. I've never used them.

Its wide at the front and kinda forces your fingers to sit wider then normal. The middle of it isnt that wide and has a bump that seems like it would offer extreme comfort to a palm gripper.

The scotch tape method fixes that problem.

Thanks for all the replies. Read all of them, and might consider a Deathadder. I just weighed my mouse and it was 120g. I thought my mouse was really really light.

I'm planning to go try them out somewhere, probably at Fry's or Best Buy.
