Ok. That means AIDA is not showing the current voltage, but the VID. I mean, Core Temp doesn't show the actual current voltage that's running through the CPU.

So, go by CPU-Z because it shows 3 decimal places.

You should go by what your CPU voltage is set in your BIOS. If you're relying on the reading of the voltage with any of the software, take them all with a grain of salt. HWMonitor may be accurate, Core Temp might not be, Real Temp will do well with Intel but not AMD, and AIDA's VID's will differ from the BIOS (under motherboard section) as to the CPUID from the tools drop-down list.

Go by your BIOS setting and gauge your closest monitoring program with what reports closely to your BIOS setting.

Well it's like... why go by the BIOS when you got software like CPU-Z?

I dunno, maybe I'm just crazy, but I like having CPU-Z around when someone wants to know what my core voltage is.

Ok, i see it only messes up when i use Phenom Msr tweaker, even if i set the custom cool n quiet to what the bios is, for some reason it keeps the voltage lower than what it should be. I just downclocked to 3.6ghz, and am using the real cool n quiet and all is fine

but i'm curious, what's the difference between vid and what voltage is being pumped in to the cpu at that moment?

VID is the voltage going through your CPU, but the actual value varies and may be much lower because of Vdroop, and CPUZ shows what the actual value currently is. That means CPUZ is the best for monitoring voltage.

Well, the lower the voltage is, the less Vdroop seems to be, that is the case for me anyways. But it's motherboard related, you cant really fix it.
