980x or 2600k - Page 3

well power, if you want the power of the 6 core you will feel it in the power bill, the x58 chip @ 4ghz (930) ~ 250 watts, give or take.
1155pin @ 4ghz ~150 watts. So, more power for more power, if you had a 1366 mobo ya but if u got to buy all over again nope, sell it to me

Take it to Pawn Stars and sell it to Chumlee. Keep your 2600k and pocket the sales of the 980x.

Yippie, my 1,000th post.. word.

It's power overwhelming!!!

The rig is about 3-4 years old, I got it all prior to working in the tech industry from my friend at NVIDIA.

If this isn't a serious bid.

The max I'm willing to go is $600, considering you can get it new at MC for $699. We don't know whether the 980x works, what voltages it uses, etc.

Plus I don't need the Intel HSF!

Oh, and may I add, I will fold with it and put it to good use for Team OCN.

Thread Starter
But ya, you guys might be right. Because I have friends on steam telling me to keep the 980 for when BC3 comes out because it's going to be cpu independent but I think 2600 will be good enough and I could sell cpu and use it for SSD and give rest to friend.
