If you truly don't care how loud the fans are you have some very specific options, which will be stupid loud but give you the best possible results for cooling. But, we need some more info. Based on your current CPU cooler, which doesn't come with fans, are you looking for an off the shelf solution which includes fans or just the metal without fans?

Well right now I have a ThermalRight Venomous X with two CoolerMaster R4 2000rpm 120mm fans in push pull Configuration or maybe i should try some thing like a Corsair H70

You've got a great cooler. You might want to try a better fan (or 2), maybe a 120"x38" rather than a 120"x25". Better static pressure, which basically means it cools better. Not sure if they can be got "off the shelf".

Something like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185054

Or, better (but more expensive):

http://www.svc.com/fba12g12u.html

..and even better (but a little more expensive):

http://www.svc.com/9g1212h1011.html

...and yes, there will be noise. But they're all controllable via a fan controller, or your motherboard (although you probably don't want to put such high-CFM fans on your mobo).

btw when your Venomous-X dreams at night it dreams of these fans. It wants a better fan. Or two. And it can handle 2 120"x38"s.

I just installed my Antec h20 Kuhler tonite (noob as well). And the install was pretty easy, seemed less daunting than an air cooler. Has pretty good reviews for temps probably just behind the Noctua and a couple other high end air coolers. You can get the h20 620 in brick and mortar stores too. Saw one at Staples the other day.

dose any know if it makes a difference in performance wether the cooler is right side up like if was laying on a test bed or if it is sideways in side a case vertical.

If you aren't going water, I don't think its worth upgrading from your current cooler to any other air cooler. At most, there will be a 2-3C drop and I don't know if that will be worth the money :/
