Speakers are definitely good computer speakers (were my first set, still running great at 4 years old), but they're not really that great compared to options nowadays.... esp for a $3,000 build, they don't seem adequate. Neither do those video cards (why SLI immediately, esp if he's only using one monitor?) or that monitor (I have the 23" version of the same monitor + tv tuner and it's fine but nothing special.)

Unless you're getting great deals on all this, in which case it shouldn't be costing you $3,000.

Get a SSD as boot drive

PS:Just saw it, never mind. But I suggest the newest Intel 25nm SSD
Two Nvidia GTX560 can handle most games in 1080P. I would go with them and replace with Nvidia Kepler card next year.

Does it have to have a G510? You could do better for $100. Not to over-hype mechanical keyboards, but they do feel much nicer to a lot of people (I've only gotten to try, not buy). The Das Model S is $130, the Black Widow Ultimate is $120, OCN's Ducky is $110, and the 6Gv2 is $100.

Also, if the buttons on the Naga are just going to gather dust, switch it out for something more practical.

Switch out the speakers like TDI suggested and look at the Xonar line for music/gaming and the Creative Titanium cards for just gaming. Also look into headphones if positioning and/or isolated listening are high priorities.
