Although the details regarding the card are still unknown as Powercolor is keeping all the juicy details for Computex, it appears that the card will be based on Barts XT GPUs. This means that it will feature a total of 2240 stream processors, or 1120 per GPU, and a dual 256-bit memory interface. The card will end up with 2GB of memory and will use a special, or simply custom cooling solution designed for such a card.

When this card comes out, I am expecting this card to be priced at similar price value as the EVGA GTX 460 2WIN which is around $400 to $420 US dollars.

hard to justify this card too much north of 400, and if it dips down to 350 it will sell well but cannibalize 6970 sales

the only real cool benefit to this would be the ability to tri-fire barts gpus

Cool if you could crossfire with another Barts card. Now the question is, can we?

as i understand it the only limitation was the single slot for the crossfire capable

powercolor also has an image floating around on there site of 4 single slot barts cards in quadfire

Damn. Two of these might outdo my 6970s Although I'm glad to have 2 gigs of VRAM.

Radeon HD 6800

Codenamed Barts, the mid-range GPUs Radeon HD 6800 series was released on October 22, 2010. Products include Radeon HD 6850 and Radeon HD 6870. Barts uses shaders of the same 5-way VLIW architecture as HD 5000 series.[2]

* HD 6850 has 960 stream processors at 775MHz, a 256-bit memory interface and 1 GB GDDR5 DRAM at 1GHz with maximum power draw of 127 W. Compared to competitors of the GTX 460 series, performance falls in line with the 1 GB cards of the NVIDIA GTX 460 series and superior to the 768MB Geforce 460. Compared to predecessor videocards of the Radeon 5800 serires, the 6850 is significantly faster than the Radeon HD 5830 and close to the performance of the Radeon HD 5850. A single 6-pin PCIe power connector requirement makes it suitable for mainstream users.

* HD 6870 has 1120 stream processors at 900MHz, a 256-bit memory interface and 1 GB GDDR5 DRAM at 1.2GHz with a maximum power draw of 151 W. Performance is superior to the NVIDIA GTX 460 and less than the NVIDIA GTX560 TI series. Compared to predecessor videocards of the Radeon 5800 series, the 6870 is faster than the HD 5850 and close to the performance of the Radeon HD 5870
