Innovation seems to have little to do with their success. They are marketing geniuses, though. They have Apple fans wrapped around their fingers, even defending them when they release broken products.
DrDarkTemplar, I don't really recall MS making PCs. They started out as a software company, did they not? So I'm not sure where the comparison is.
You're completely confusing "Inventive" with "Innovative." They may not have invented a lot, but have innovated on inventions. So, yes, the statement still stands.
They've done a LOT more for tech than most anyone here on OCN will give them credit for simply because it's cool to hate Apple.
