Passive Loop? - Page 4

In short: Yes.

In long: I wouldn't recommend it, I mean, some of the fans are so quiet nowadays you might as well just get an external 480 and have the fans on low speeds. I have my case completely open (no panels on) and I have 7 F12's @ 7V, I can't hear my computer. I assume you'd do this for the sake of noise, but the amount of rad you would needs wouldn't be worth it.

I might have to try that model just to see what the hype is about and how it undervolts. A good well performing cheap fan that undervolts to about 400rpm before clicking is the scythe slipstream 1200rpm that's my choice for a fan controlled fan anyways. Anything rated over 20db is pretty noisy imo and the AP-15s are rated at 28db! This guy is asking for a passive system to reduce noise if he's even considering fans he should be considering <15db fans. A quiet home at night would probably sit around 10-15db just guessing but that's the area he should shoot for in terms of noise IF he attaches fans to his radiator. Why start with an extremely noisy fan to begin with then spend 40 bucks on a fan controller?
Agreed. Just pick up some of the ultra low RPM gentle typhoons, you wont even hear them.

If the fan is over ~800 rpm you can hear it, although the psu fan will be louder. you will want sr-1 radiators since they are the best at this type of cooling.

edit: make a seprate loop for the gfx and cpu.

yeah...that's impossible. With my cpu on a loop by itself with a sr1 360+240+120 when the fans are off it gets way hotter than 65C and the h50 is about as low end wc as you can get.
