Last Minute Advice

Thread Starter
So I have been on and off about water cooling for a year now, almost entirely because of the price of it. I'm still not sure if I will regret it but I figure I should stop thinking about it and just go for it. I'm looking for some last minute advice before I buy my parts. Here is the list:

Rad: XSPC RX360
Fans: Noctua 120mm from my CPU heatsink, if is something better at the same noise level let me know.
CPU Block: Koolance CPU-370
Pump: Swiftech MCP 350
Res: XSPC Reservoir Laing DDC Top Combo
Tube: 6 feet of 3/8" ID - 1/2" OD Black
Fittings: 6 Straight Black Compression Fittings

For now I just want to cool the CPU but later I may add GPU blocks in for my 2 GTX 570s, hence the RX360. Question, would I need to add another 120 or 240 radiator if I did decide to cool both GPUs?

Here is the layout I'm thinking of. I may turn the radiator around the other way, I havnt decided yet.

Any advice would be extremely appreciated.

Not to say that you CAN'T do it that way, but I've been generally seeing people run to the rad last before returning to pump. I don't know how well a pump/res would deal with really hot watter, but I'd assume it'd be alright. Just my $.02

Mine is exactly like that. Most people run Pump>rad>cpu>res IIRC.

I have the back as exhaust and the side as intake.

If you decide to cool the Two GPUs, I would get another RX / RS 240.

Well that's good to know. Won't matter too much in my case , but honestly, I can't really find much wrong with your build from the current look over (I'm no expert, and I did a quick glance, so don't think I'm saying it's definitely right or wrong in any way)

Good to know everything looks OK before I spend $400. I thought I might need another rad for cooling 2 GPUs, but its nice to know for sure so I can see how much money I'm spending in the future (I assume water cooling is like anything PC related and highly addictive/expensive).

But reusable.

Why don't you get the rasa RX kit as a base and do a whole second loop if you ever want to cool GPUs?

I have a few of the same parts in that setup. That rad is great, but you will need another rad if you run SLI. My temps are decent. They are less than 70 under extreme stress testing, around 55 degrees under normal gaming, and 35 (or less) at idle.

That is exactly what I bought plus a DD GPU block, but I would recommend buying your own tubing and fans. Both are horrible, but the rest of the things in those Rasa kits are good stuff.

I was really looking into the RASA kit, but I thought it would be worth it to buy the parts separate to get exactly what I want. I also heard the pump on the RASA kit wasn't the greatest so its hard to add more blocks without buying a new one.

Honestly, if I had it to do over again, I would buy the parts separate. That isn't because the kit is bad. I heard all those rumors/reviews also and I have been pleasantly surprised.

If I could do it all over again I would get different stuff because it is addictive and you will want to keep modding regardless of what you buy.

Be warned!

Buy another kit for GPUs only, sell the CPU block (Really good CPU block for the price) and you just need the GPU blocks Or you just update your first kit slowly. The radiator is good, the barbs are good, the CPU block is good, you can just replace the res/pump by a better one and add a radiator and blocks.
