Thread Starter
I am currently using a Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7436 borrowed from a friend while he is at basic training, the laptop was messed up really bad until i reinstalled Windows Vista on it but i am currently have major issues with internet connections using my integrated wireless adapter...

Problems Below
--------------
Device: Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter
Symptoms: No internet connection / Upon connection to modem (says Unidentified network) / Status: Local Only
Diagnosing the problem says there is a problem with the modem/router
(but this problem has persisted over 3 different networks)

Things tried:
Reinstall of Drivers all three kinds(xp,vista, and 7)
Reinstall of Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit
Using external network adapter(Still has intermittent problems)

I realize this might not be the right forum to list this but i couldn't locate a more appropriate one, so if anyone has a solution and/or questions please reply. ty

i work at tech support and ya this is a big issue with vista, easy solution go win7

but goto network connections select properties look for ipv4 > properties, make sure auto is selected, then check internet options > connections lan settings and auto obtain should be checked.

may have to click ipv6 and hit install select protocol and do same for ipv4

also dosnt huty to get into cmd as admin and enter
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew
ipconfig/flushdns
netsh winsock reset

then restart comp.. last one for wireless comps only. and should be online select home for network type
