Making main Windows 7 folder hidden?

I am giving a PC to my mother and she doesn't know jack about PCs. I know the Windows folder asks you for permission when you enter but I was wondering if I could just make the folder hidden do she wouldn't be able even know it was there.

Is it OK or would it cause problems?

It's actually quite difficult to securely hide a folder in Windows without risking creating problems in the operating system itself.

AxCrypt comes to mind. Link
Never used it myself, though.

Well, I did it. I made just the folder, not the files hidden. It's seems to be working just fine. It's not visible in the tree either.

I don't need it to be securely hidden, just not visible to her. She's not doing anything fancy. I just wanted it hidden if she goes in her drive's main folder for some reason. Clicking on it instead of Program Files or something.

I just bought R.U.S.E. from Steam cause of the sale. It's Allies & Axis Chess. You ever play it?

Can't you just make her an User Account?

That's actually a good idea, but if this way works it would be easier for her. I actually forgot about Guest accounts. I'm still new to Windows 7. I just came from Windows 98 before this. LOL
