As per the leaked Honeycomb 3.1 Update (official OTA is tomorrow), here are tons of changes:

- Improved scrolling responsiveness with the Holo UI
- Better overall performance in most apps, from Market and Youtube down to 3rd-party programs
- Much better video codec support, improved smoothness in 720p playback
- Better stock Browser scrolling, Flash implementation
- Zero soft-keyboard lag

LOL Marin, your "meh" pics are just awesome. Standards too high, eh? Expected from a photographer of your caliber (and wide range of equipment). My pics are more meh-worthy.

For those with the tranformer, what are you using as far as cases or screen protectors? Also, have you used the optional keyboard attachment or has anyone tried out any bluetooth keyboards? I'm really considering this tablet but will be flying with it almost immediately and would like to know how best to protect it.

For my iPad, I use a sleeve like this one:

A sleeve like this one will protect your tablet while you are moving around but not be intrusive while you are actually using the device. You will not drop the tablet so don't worry about getting an otterbox type contraption.

Question. I need a tablet by July 5. Should I just pick one of these up (only hesitant because same specs as my phone, pretty much and haven't been so impressed with my Atrix.) Or wait and get the Galaxy Tab 10.1/HTC Puccini/Obligatory iPad 2 (Tons of accessories, cases, etc so that is nice.)

I just use a Domke wrap since I already use a ton of them for my camera gear. And I haven't tried a keyboard yet.

Problem is the sleeve won't work since the iPad has different dimensions than the Android tablets (all of the 10.1's since they have a different aspect ratio screen). But it does have similar dimensions to the 11" MBA so that case could work.

Also another pic of it at my friends place.

Tab won't have expandable memory (but there's a rumor that the 3G version will).

good call on the domke wrap Marin, that's definitely a great suggestion which I'll keep in mind! Still open to other suggestions and looking forward to hearing about keyboard possibilities.

Anyone with the transformer want to answer a few questions for me.

Assuming tablet + dock

1. How similar is this to using a laptop?
2. Can it be used as a laptop replacement?
3. How is it taking notes?
4. How long is battery?
5. How is reading off it in low light ?
6. Are you happy with your purchase ?

Hey Marin, could you post a shot or two of your transformer in the Domke wrap? Never hear of it but it sounds pretty interesting, I just want to see what it looks like in use.

1. Laptop plus touchscreen that have two USB ports, SD and Micro, excellent multitask and 1080p playback. No CD,DVD, and Blu-ray reader/writer. Play game without keyboard and mice.
2. Nope.
3. How long does it take you to text a whole conversation on your cellphone? For notes or works, you needs TF101 keyboard
4. Usually 6 to 8 hours
5. The screen on Asus Transformer is Awesome! and better than Motorola Xoom. However, Asus transformer has glossy screen so its reflects my handsome face on Asus Transformer. Oh yeah!
6. Hell to the Yeah! I bought $100 cheaper than MSRP.
