Iffy on 2500k temp.

Thread Starter
My 2500k idles around 33-35C. After around 10 minutes on Prime 95, it's around 73. Room temp is bout 22C. Looking at other threads about the 2500k on stock cooling, I don't want to believe it's normal. My cable management is decent. Fans seem to be blowing good air. I checked to see that the cooler was seated properly by just giving the pins a push, and they seemed to be fine. I'll check again by reseating the thing tomorrow I guess... But is there a chance this is normal? I'm getting a 212+ sometime soon, so that should tell me some things but, meh. I just hope I didn't get a bad chip or something.
Besides reseating the thing, anything I could do to improve the temps?

Those are perfectly normal temps for Sandy Bridge, lol. If you were thinking of getting the Hyper 212+, though, I recommend you get the

instead. It's a good amount better performing and costs a bit less.
