I am in a bit of a situation as far as headsets go. I have been using the Logitech G35 for nearly 2 years now however after the first ~year one of the ear pieces completely snapped off. I got it replaced by Logitech over email support no hassles (best customer support i have ever dealt with).
However its been just over 6 months and my second replacement headset has now broken the exact same way!! I will try again to get a replacement but a second time may be pushing it.
Anyway in case i cant get a replacement i will be looking to buy a new one. I absolutely adore the G35 (fantastic sound, mic and good comfort), however there isnt really much point buying another if its just going to break this way again.
So my question is what is the best gaming headset nowadays in 2011? I'm looking for great sound quality as i like my music (also good base) , surround sound is greatly preferred partly for gaming but mainly for movies and i think music sounds better in surround. A mic is also needed.
