HUH ? I've just applied the patch and I'm still getting 16/22 FPS with all maxed + ubersampling surly 580's wouldn't make such an improvement , frankly the patch made no difference my cards still hover around 50/60%.
Of course i can play it maxed out without Ubersampling but i wanna uber so bad , it makes this game look soooo sweeeet
I'm holding out hoping this will get fixed.

the patch isnt going to fix that, thats a driver problem and should be handled by nvidia, look at their beta drivers for a fix.

So does the patch fix the memory leak? I got my DLC to work after updating and sending an email to CDP support, but it's really annoying having to wait for half a minute for the game menu to appear after hitting escape.

I did install 275.27 beta drivers but it made no change same performance and GPU's still 50/60/%
Had to roll back to 270.61 cause those beta drivers caused strange colored artifacts in Crysis 2 and BFBC2
I wonder what hardware will it take to play Witcher 2 maxed out + ubersampling when all the issues will be fixed.

Try this:

http://www.overclock.net/pc-games/10...fix-guide.html

The tradeoff is light bleeding.

The 275.27 beta drivers don't fix SLI for TW2. We'll need to wait for the next beta drivers for that.

I think you can fix the light bleeding by forcing AFR2 when using the above tweak.

Wow this works great both GPU's are 98/91% and i don't dee any light bleeding though i just only played couple of minutes.
Funny thing just before i saw your post i had a MASSIVE !! BSOD with looping sound while playing TW2 hope it wont happen again.

+1 for you mate

P.S Plus he answered my question about hardware cause seeing my 480's
sweat and game is about 30fps (average) 25 min 40 max i can see that 480 SLI is not enough to max out TW2 with ubersampling on.

lol! I just swapped the cards around , as in moved 2nd card to 2nd slot so to make both run x8.
And the result was rather good in terms of performance now all maxed out + ubersampling is palyable (doesn't drop below 30FPS) but the trade off is with 99% usage on both cards my
top card (1st slot) reached 100C !! and 100% fan speed
I got scared and i shut down the game my PC sounded like a jet engine lol
I guess i wont be enjoying TW2 with uber and it looks soo awesome .
Now i got a reason for a new upgrade , pity i lack the cash
