the way I did it is hook everything up like the finished job would look like. Then unhook all the power cables from the mobo, GPU, hdd, drives, etc. use the PSU hotwire plug provided with the kit. fill the res up completely and hit the PSU switch and immediately switch it off. fill it up again and do the same. you NEVER want to run the pump without any water in it - at least no more than a few seconds. keep it submerged in water at all time. repeat the process until you see the water not getting sucked down as quick. then keep it running for a good 24 hours or so to get all the air out of your system. do not forget to gently shake the case and tilt it one way or the other to keep the bubbles loose.
