Can't find reference 6950

Well it looks like I may have waited too long to pull the trigger on this one. I can't seem to find any reference model 2GB 6950s anywhere that isn't listed at absurd prices.

Anyone know where they still may be in stock? Thanks!

Do you mean reference v1 with the bios switch or the new reference v1.1 without the bios switch?

With the BIOS switch
I ordered an Asus 6950 open box from the Egg last week for $214. Pictures indicate clearly that it is a reference model. It arrived this morning, but I'm at work all damn day & night so I can't tell you until tomorrow if it's got the bios switch or not. If it does, then just be patient. That video card went back up on the site at least 1 further time since I ordered it a week ago, so it seems like they still get stock. If you're looking to buy a NIB model, though, then yeah. You can probably forget about it.

Good luck. Those aren't being manufactured anymore. Your best bet is to get one used.

Well hell. An open box option would be fine for me. I'm watercooling it anyways.

eBay has a ton of reference models.

You can do two things- first, kind souls often post a thread in the Online Deals section of the forum whenever NewEgg posts new open box video cards. You have to be fast, though, since they often sell out in 5-10 minutes! Just refresh OCN. Also, you could just keep the Egg open, searching for Open Box & 6950 parameters. That's actually how I found mine- a random refresh revealed new stock, and I bought my card immediately.
