Added 240mm rad before cpu block.

Thread Starter
Okay, so here it goes, i added a Black Ice GT stealth before my CPU block, so noy my loop goed : res\\pump -> 200mm rad -> HD6970 -> 120 BI GTX -> 240 BI GTS -> EK Supreme HF full nickel -> bayres\\pump.

pump is in the bayres : laing DCC1 in a XSPC dualbayres (for a laing ofc).

GPU temp idle 35C, Load Maxed out @ 54c.
CPU Maxed out on Stock : 40-48-45-45 in C.
cpu 4.7GHZ with 1.36vcore : 55-58-56-57, Might even have topped at 60 somewhere. these are the same temps as before with only the 120GTX.
am i doing something wrong ?

i also added a quick closer\\opener. is this blocking my flow so hard cpu temps are this bad, im a bit disapointed on the cpu temps.

rest of **** in sig rig.

+ i think the loop is still bleeding air a bit, so i kept the filling hole in the res open for now.

With 3 radiators and 2 blocks you will be bleeding for a few days at least. Keep your eye on the water level for the next several days. That should be more than enough to cool your system. Did you try resetting the cpu block? GPU temps look decent.

Let me also add that those temps are still in the safe range. I mean 4.7Ghz is a pretty high overclock.

haha thanks, yes i think it will indeed be bleeding for a few days, just unhooked my rad ( the mounting) and shaked it a few times while running, got alot of air out of it. but arent the cpu temps bad ?
cause they are almost the same as i got with my mugen 2 rev b.
CPU block is seated correctly and tightend correctly.
i do like the vga temps tho

If you were dumping the heat effectively before, you can't get get much colder by adding rad, you can only get closer to ambient.

So say before your coolant temp was 7oC above ambient, it might be 5oC now, not a great change.

Adding another rad to that might reduce it to 4oC (these are just examples, not based on any real numbers) but the more rad you have the less of an effect it will have.

So for you, who has frankly great temps, you will probably never see a vast improvement from adding more radiators since your system is operating highly efficiently already.

btw here's me loop now, all the rads are pushing\\pull or just pulling air out of the case, so the cold intake is the open side, it's under my desk, dunno if it just sucks the hot air back in, but i think it does a little .

guess i did it right then, cause i had two top 120's pulling in, and the 120 and 200mm rads pushing\\pulling out, with an open side, at least i did what i dreamed of doin, think when my 2nd 6970 comes back from RMA i'm just gonna remove the Quick disconnect.

dont knot what to think about the disconnects, when blowing air through it with my mouth it realy outputs much lower flow then when i blow trhough it without the thing.
