"always on" psu

hello all.

so something i like to do every now and again is take my knowledge of new hardware and make a big ass rig wish list. well right now this godlike computer takes 2 power supply's, since only one can have its 24 pin plugged in to the mobo the other one would have something like this http://www.mountainmods.com/bitspowe...tor-p-520.html. and the power supply with that was powering a GPU and the system was "off" would that hurt or damage the GPU that it was connected to?

know what i mean? its hard to explain

No, it wouldn't hurt it. You could however, just wire a relay from one of your extra molex plugs to the green & black wires on the 20/24 pin ATX plug on the 2nd psu. So that when you power up your computer it automatically turns on the 2nd psu.

You can find decent 12v relays practically anywhere for nearly nothing, and a couple of molex pins to connect it for less than $10.
