New Build wat size psu

Thread Starter
I currently updated my build and wondering what i should get i want a psu with some headroom

i5 2500k (stock)
P67 Sabertooth
G.Skill Sniper DDR3 1866 (16GB)
2x GTX 560
PCi X1 soundcard
1X WD Blue 500 GB sata 3
1x WD 1 TB Sata 3
Looking at getting a gskill 120gb ssd
H60 cpu cooler

Case Haf 932 orginal 6 high air flow fans..

I know ive asked but i want more opinions. I want a psu that would support if i went down to 2 GTX 570 so i dont have to change psu. Also if i decide to overclock to 4.0ghz

This is all i need for my build then i will be set!!!

If you have suggestions please post

Thanks for all your help

I would be aiming for a good 850W PSU or greater, if you don't mind spend the money on a 1kW power supply.

Running in any kind of budget?

Any good 650W. Refer to the Recommended Power Supplies sticky topic, but I'll be happy to make specific recommendations if you give me your budget.

You can get away with a solid 750 from corsair or seasonic.

What is your budget. Do not buy on wattage (size) alone. I'd say a 750W PSU would be a good choice is you want SLI with either of those cards plus "headroom".

Sure the LZG-1000 is decent but it boggles me why you'd want to pay through the nose for a 1000W unit when your system would run on a good 650W. Consider that a pair of GTX 570s consume ~350W on a normal gaming load. Add the rest of a normal system to that and you're still looking at less than 600W. Obviously that figure is even lower when talking about two GTX 560s.
A good 650W would be fine, and a good 750W would be plenty of headroom.

1000W is excessive overkill. You may as well get the best 750W you can with that budget.

I was thinking of saying 650W, but isn't 650W, while enough, a bit low if he's looking at potential GeForce GTX 570 SLI with the rest of things? I remember Phaedrus2129 saying 750W was more comfortable for those cards in SLI. He's got a $200 budget. I'd just step it up to a 750W in that case myself.
