Best? There isn't a best mouse, it's all personal preference...

I use a thirty dollar mouse and love it, and I came from a mouse that was 110 bucks.

friend of mine has a mamba...it has issues with the mouse just moving on its own, the clicks being weird so you double click a lot, and a few other things i dont remember...

he replaced it with a R.A.T. 7 after he used mine

i say go for one of those...they are incredibly well made, can fit almost any hand, and the clicks are satisfying

I dont have a Mamba but I do have an Orachi for my laptop and it is spectacular. I am very impressed with it. The Mamba is the desktop version from what I can see.

The MX518 is half the price of most of these overpriced pieces of junk that are about at the moment and its better made and is better performing than 95 percent of them too. Please dont buy anything Razer just poorly made pieces of crap that look cool but brake as soon as you look at them.

What mouse is best is all dependent on your personal preference for features, styling preferences, grip method, and how you use your PC.

Things to consider are:

Grip style - Are you a claw or a palm gripper? do a small bit of research and find the shape that you like best.

Sensor Quality - Are you just doing simple browsing or do you need pixel perfect precision from a high-quality sensor like those found in Razer/Logitech/Other high quality mice?

Features - Do you need macros like those found on the Razer Naga? On the fly DPI switching that's popular on many Logitech mice (G500/G9x)? Do you want to be able to switch to different grips/surfaces (the high end Razer and Logitech mice)? Do you want a good software package to control things like LED colors and button remapping (many higher end have this)

Wired/Wireless - Does a wire bother you? Do you want a mouse with a high-quality braided wire, or a wireless (read reviews about battery life if you go this route), or a hybrid (where you can be wired/wireless, popular on the high-end razer mice)?

Surface - What surface are you going to be gaming on? Do you need something that is lightweight, heavy, or weight adjustable so you can control your movements better?

Build Quality - Do you care if you have to replace your mouse in a year because it's worn out? Do you want something that's going to last you for a 'long' time?

There are many different mice out there. If you're looking for the "best" you will need to describe what you're looking for. Everyone has their preference, and their budget, and we can't tell you what that is for you. Good luck.

If it's for FPS games get a R.A.T. 7 or 9 ( I have the 9).

2 words
Sniper Button
Why this isn't a feature on all gaming mice is beyond me... I think it is the greatest thing especially in BFBC2 while gunning for any vehicle never mind just aiming long distances.
It is 100% customizable from 5600 DPI and below. When you hold the sniper button it cuts the DPI down by a % that you control for precision shooting and in some cases precision photoshopping.

I just got mine a week ago and I love it!
