Media Center Remote and Xbox 360

Will any media center remote work with the Media Center interface built into the 360? For example if I hit the Media Center Button on a third party (non-Harmony) remote will it activate Media Center on the 360 and allow me to navigate its menus?

it says it will on this site:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/m...d/default.mspx

You can also use any Windows Media Center remote control with your Xbox 360. From the Xbox 360 Dashboard, go to the Settings section:

Select Console Settings
Select Remote control
Select All Channels
Select B to exit the dashboard

I use this one (of course it is MS):

It should. But word of warning--if you were using the remote on a HTPC (like with a dongle), it will work both the PC and the Xbox 360 simultaneously (at least, it did with mine).

Otherwise, a MCE remote should operate the Xbox 360 properly.
