Installing ASUS GTX 570 DirectCU II - Noob needs Help!

Thread Starter
Okay, noob question.

I've just recieved my new 570, and I've noticed that it needs a 6 and an 8 pin connector. I've plugged my two existing six pins into the 8 pin converter.

So, I have the 8 pin connection, but where do I get the extra 6 pin?

I can't see any more PCI-E connection, so how do I connect it?

Thanks.
Dave

Does your power supply come with an extra 6 pin connector?

I can't see any other PCI-E connectors. There are only two, and both are used for the 8 pin converter.

Could I take one from my old computer and use that?

Im having this same prob. I don't understand please help?
The power cable that comes with the card at the end that plugs into the card is a 8pin and at the other end that plugs into the power supply is 2 6pins, pluged all that in turned on the system blackscreen. tryed another video card all is good. If I use 1 of the 6pins cables that comes with the power supplys and plug that into the card then I will have the 8pin that comes with card pluged into the card at the other end of that cable that comes with the card it's 2 6pins that plug into the power supply, then useing a cable from the power supply plug that in to the card and plug the other end into the power supply, so I will have 3 6pins pluged into the power supply 2 of them that turn into the 8pin that comes with the card and the other that comes with the power supply is 6pins at both ends 1 for card 1 for power supply?

Thanks for your time.
