**Twin Frozr III Unlock Final Test **

Thread Starter
This is the most common tool for the Twin Frozr III:

http://www.ocdrift.com/2011/04/msi-r...locking-guide/

.)It breaks CCC regulations
.)it raises power delivery
.)it unlocks the shaders

Now some have claimed that after they have performed a flash with the above tool their card achieved better benchmarking results then before but GPU-Z still shows the 6950 amount of shader units instead of 1536.

That could indicate the card´s shaders unlocked btu GPU-Z is just not fit or updated enough to recognize it.

So those people claimed they would do a test to confirm this theory:

The test was benching the card with a synthetic benchmark and normal stock 6950 BIOS.

And then compare bench the card after flashing with the above posted tool in the link.

If the shaders unlocked the scores after the flash should be 5-6% higher than the once with the stock BIOS .
This would confirm the unlock and the fact that GPU-Z does not recognize it.

Of course we have to take a performance fluctuation into consideration also and should not confuse it with the unlock.

I myself am getting my TWFIII CF this week ...I hope somebody with TWFIII can do this test and share their results.

You can be the tester and the final word on this topic. I'm interested in the findings. Just be sure to enjoy some games while you're testing.

Very good idea, I'd like to see what others find as I'm interested in the card as well.

It does not work. I have tried this method and another. Have unlocked cards and results are less at the same clocks. I am also 99.99% sure that GPU-Z does not rely on an individual card database to determine the shader numbers.

Has anyone with a twin frozr 3 tried this yet?
