The problem here is that too many people want ONE computer to do everything. Macs are great, just not for gaming. If you want to game buy a Mac laptop and a custom PC. If you say it costs too much, well, you can't have everything you want. Most people who can afford the extra cost for Macs buy them. I'd personally pay extra for the style, because I can. It's ignorant for people to degrade Mac users and claim they know nothing about specs when even OCN users have them. I have personally had a Mac and know a lot more about computers than most enthusiasts.

All I'm trying to say is, If a Mac isn't for you, well too bad, don't put down people who have the extra money to spend on, and might even know more about computers than you. Most journalists, design professionals, and other respectable people use Apple computers. It doesn't mean they don't have other PCs in their house either.

Hey don't get me wrong I'm not hating on all the mac user ok. but its those mac user that classify Steve jobs as their god and treat apple as a religion. I am sure everyone knows a few of them. Me myself my first computer I used was a mac. But now I just perfer pc unless I goto making music then sure a mac will do. I have a few freinds that use Macbook. I just don't like how apple has brainwash some of these apple nut and how apple bashes everything else out there. Come on apple there are better products out there not everything you guys make is gold to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! There that's my 2cents imho :@

If I got a MBP I would still want to game on it as well no matter what. For me, the idea of a laptop is something that is as close to my desktop as I can get, without being at home. MBP is worthless for that. Sure it's handy for other things but I like to relax and game when I'm not traveling and working.

MBP is more of a looks laptop than anything else. They do have good customer service though.

Let's just think about this for a second: A 2011 MBP 13 uses a Sandy Bridge i5, Intel HD 3000 graphics, and an HDD. Other notable specs: 1280x800 screen(), 4.5 pounds(half a pound below any decent 14", 0.5-1 pounds over well-engineered 13"ers), Cost: $1200. This in no way competes with the new Toshiba Portege R800's, which are ~$800-1000, weigh less, and have the same specs(higher resolution screen). Asus U30 series, another sub-$1000 i5 13" laptop. MBP 15 is good in that it has nice battery life, otherwise there are a lot of nicer, cheaper options. Not buying the BS some of you Macboys are selling. The Macbook Airs are the only Macbooks that really have no competition.

edit: Just wanted to point out that Porteges are made from Magnesium, which is a more expensive and stronger(ie. higher strength to weight ratio) material than aluminum.

So you'd rather have a mac because it is "stylish"?
A lot of notebooks now actually look nice and have more power for less.

LOL @ people who can't understand that 99% of users don't care about playing games on a computer. And LOL @ people who think all you can do on OSX are simple tasks.

I couldn't get into using Mac OS. I think they're geared more towards people who started with macs.
