This.

Was pretty funny. Lol I wasn't saying they are bad cards, but the OP already has it set he wants an nVidia card, so why not have posted it deep in the dark depths of the nVidia forums where the land ravaging, surface dwelling ATI card owners wouldn't comment? lol

Yep, it doesn't really make any sense to not go for the 570 with that sort of money. If you had only $215, I'd say go with a reference GTX 560 Ti, but with $300 you might as well get the 570.

That chart doesn't match what you say. You say it's not comparable to a GeForce GTX 460, but liken it to the GeForce GTS 450, yet it's closer to the GeForce GTX 460 768MB according to that chart. It's pretty much sandwiched between the GeForce GTS 450 and the GeForce GTX 460 1GB.

Note that I am not talking about it's value for the dollar versus other cards, of which is is pretty bad, but just performance.

Semantics? The card on that chart is factory OC'd to 950 core and 4300MHz effective memory, and it is still 14% slower than a stock 768MB 460.

The 550 Ti is essentially a GTS 450 with higher default clocks and a 192-bit memory bus, hence the comparison. Clock for clock this card is closer to the 450 than any of the 460s.
