Need a new full tower case.

Thread Starter
As the title states I need a new full tower case for my SLI 480 setup.

Because I will use a Zalman VF3000F air cooler on both my GPU's I need to use PCI-e slots 1 and 3 for it to work (3 slot air cooler, slot 2 is covered). My HAF 922 mid tower is no longer adequate.

I'm looking for a high quality case with at least 2 extra slots (or room for the cooler) past an ATX motherboard.

The site I would like to use is http://www.canadacomputers.com/. If you're making a suggestion please make sure the case is available at the Waterloo store location.

I've been leaning towards the Obsidian 800D for $255CAD because of it's clean looks and features but I'm not sure if the space is there for the 3 slot cooler.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Check out the HAF X, that has 9 slots.

Generally speaking the Corsair 800D has poor airflow simply because it was designed for water cooling.

It's looks like a nice case. Not quite as clean looking as the 800D but as you point out the airflow is much better. And the fact it's about $75 less where I'm buying it from makes it all the more appealing.

Would I have any breathing room between my lowest card and my PSU or would they touch? I would prefer a least a 1 slot gap between them.

The HAF X comes with a wind tunnel that attaches on the case and you can mount a 120mm fan in it and it will provide more airflow to your cards.

I like the look of the Lian_li much better. Thanks for the suggestion. I was almost ready to buy the HAF X but if the Lian-Li can handle what I need from it, I think that's the one I will buy. I'll be going to the store now.

Thanks, again.

Probably a bit late for this if you already got the Lian-Li,
but I had a similar situation, two 480's with VF3000F's.
I bought a CM932 BE @NCIX for $98 (with $20 CM mir), which came with two power supply mounting options to allow me to use both 480's with the triple-slot Zalman's.

Thanks for the effort. I went with the Lian-Li. I will post pics when I have the time to change the cooler on the second card. I really like the clean look of the Lian Li.

It has the same airflow of an HAF yet looks a lot cleaner.

I would also suggest
