planning on using a revodrive x2.....only 1 problem

Thread Starter
so im building a new rig thats going to be based off of the bulldozer cpu and for my ssd i was planning on using a revodrive x2 sdd.i would like to use asus's crosshair v for the mother board and 2133mhz memory. the only problem is that from the pictures iv seen of the crosshair v show that it has 4 pci-e slots....and im going to be using trifire liquid cooled 6970s so even tho the 4th slot will still be visible the bracket space will be taken up by the video cards double bracket (sorry if im confusing you with calling them brackets if thats not what there actually called but the things that go to the back of the case where on video cards the connections come out) so my question is that since the revodrive x2 doesnt have any connections on the bracket like a video card would i be able to just remove the bracket from it and pop it into the slot or does the bracket have something to do with grounding. any advice would be appreciated.

Not really. It provides improved sequential performance but you will be hard pressed to notice the difference.

+1

Not sure of whats your mainly use of your comp, but I hardly believe you'll notice anything relevant between a vertex3 and the revo. Well yes, the price.

Not worth IMO.

You can literally place and SSD where ever you like in your case (within reason ofcourse.) It doesnt have to be in a Drive bay
