Where in hades did that come from??? Not that it isn't a sensible guideline, more like what should be a common sense rule. But what game ever had anything, even remotely, resembling anything like that?
There are some Japanese games (I've only read rumors, obviously haven't played them so this is hear say) that involve pedophilia.

I read the guidelines and submitted my thoughts, I encourage everyone else to do so as well

I thought they were a little too strict on the R18+ guidelines, it's going to be for adults only anyway, yet the guidelines were more in line with early teens.

Legislating for every scenerio. Im not surprised at that one. Both sides of Govt here are rabid when it comes to pedo... and rightly so.

I would think that would fall under the typical laws directed at such activities. You are probably right though. Bases covered is a good policy.

Well that's just awesome. <- Extreme sarcasm (noted so no one misinterprets). A new low for humanity. Somehow, I'm not exactly surprised at hearing that. Seems I'll be taking a much closer look at my kids computer games.

No doubt, and I don't disagree a bit with their stance on that point. On a less serious note, it's good that the government is lightening up on it's restrictions for you all. Congratulations

To be fair. (I'm not defending it, it's sick) But, Japan have a very different culture to us. Things that are taboo here are not over there. It's partly why they are so much further ahead then us. If that makes sense.

Also alot of it is just actually questionable content. That's how they get away with it. As long as it's kept out of AU.

True. Not that I'm not knowledgeable concerning most of that information. Being a parent, tends to make one recoil a bit harder than most when you learn of such things as the aforementioned "games". Honestly, I thought they (Parliament) were going a bit overboard w/ even mentioning it.

Armed with the knowledge that it really is a problem, well...that changes things substantially. More than justifies that stipulation being included, to put it lightly.
