Buzzing from Corsair HX850w

Thread Starter
I just purchased a corsair 850hx and I get a annoying buzz myself whether its turned on or off. The outlet im using is ungrounded and im pretty sure its "dirty power" because I get a lot of noise through my speakers aswell. I have a feeling it isnt the PSU but the AC power. Is there a way to remedy this situation? From perhaps a line line conditioner or a UPS? What kind of a wattage would I need from a UPS? 850 or more? Or do I need to have an electrician come out and ground the outlet maybe?

I noticed something, when I run a prime95 test the buzzing sounds goes down in volume but when I stop the test it gets louder again. Kinda weird

Ungrounded? Your pc is a sitting duck. Why isn't it grounded? Try a different outlet with a connected ground

yeah its scary. I think the wiring in the is bad. There is an led light that shows if the connection is grounded or not and none of the house outlets I plugged them into are grounded.

Yeah it's really weird. I ran a long extension cord from another room and it seemed to fix the issue for the most part. The noise is really low volume now but I think I might want to invest in a surge protector with some line noise protection tech
