I can say in all my years of owning ATI/AMD video cards, i have never had driver issues. The only issues I ever had are because i was 13 and overclocked my 9250 256mb and got artifacting, because i was stupid. For the price vs performance AMD is the way to go, and I had very few driver issues. Now I just bought my new laptop, BRAND new card, 540m, terrible drivers, it can play crysis 2, but it wont even let me navigate the main menu of deadspace 2 semi-smoothly, and every time I run after effects CS5, the card stops responding. Not to mention the difficulties i get with nvidia optimus technology, while I do like it, it can make a lot of things VERY difficult, like getting games to run and whatever, its a very picky thing. Either way. AMD has great drivers IMO.
