If you haven't seen this thread give it a good study http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html it explains the "How To's" of OCing plus gives you a good path to follow. Study just one section at a time, learn your bios as you go. The more things you manually enter in the bios the better of you'll be. Start by manually entering your dram timings and frequency. OCing takes time and patients when starting out. Make small changes in only one area at a time. Take your time and study the link above. If I can help you any more feel free to PM me as I'm always happy to help those that ask.

Basically once you get a feel for what the settings do, get AMD overdrive, up the processor a little, if it works go more, if it fails out drop it down till the point where it barely works then add some voltage and start again, I'm at 4.0GHz and 1.4v but I've got a pretty good chip so don't expect those kind of results, you'll probably be able to push out 4.0 if you have a good cooler but chances are you'll be nearly maxed on voltage.

First thing first, don't use TurboV.

You'll need to hit delete and enter bios when booting.

When in try the following:

FSB 200
CPU 20x
Rest @ Stock speeds
Set your ram at RATED speeds

Voltages:
CPU 1.5v
Ram 1.5v (@ rated)
CPU/NB 1.2v
Rest @ stock.

To test stability, you'll need "Prime95" (Google it). Run blend test for at least 8 hours when you're done overclocking. Quick tests should be around 1 hour.

Keep us updated.

In bios you probably have some kind of OC tuner, change it to manual (not auto) this should allow you excess to the CPU Ratio (multiplier). Also disable Turbo Core.
If you need more bios help post a few pics of the bios pages so we can explain it with more detail for you.
When learning to OC don't just throw voltage at the setup such as 1.55 Vcore. Study the link in my previous post. Start with stock Vcore and make small changes with the CPU multiplier and test with Prime95, OCCT or ITB for a short while (15-30 minutes) If it passes try next multiplier, if it/when it fails add just a couple bumps of Vcore and retest. Repeat this process and increase stress test time as you get to higher OC's. You're trying to achieve the highest OC with the least amount of Vcore. This would be just the first stage (CPU only). When you reach your goal it should pass 8 hrs of prime95 before moving on to the next stage. Keep a close eye on temps.
If you have more questions make another post here, or feel free to PM me.

Good luck.
