You can even flash the bios of a 6950 to a 6970 making it even more bang for your buck

Updated post because the OP changed the topic from Which 570 Vendor to Which 560 TFII or Hawk?

So Hawk would be my choice.

Topic title updated.

MSIalex provided me with some more info about the HAWK vs Frozr II. I'm still undecided, as it's a good £35 extra for the Hawk..

Hawk all the way !

I think it's worth it, but, my opinion is only relative to me about what I think it's worth.

It can be loud, but my definition of loud logically differs than other peoples definition.

When it's idle it's quieter than my 9600GT was before the fan started malfunctioning.

At full-load it obviously gets louder but it genuinely doesn't bother me, I lack a way of finding common ground to explain to you about it's noise production.

I think the "Silent Mode" people were wondering about is simply the virtual noiseless fan that occurs when the card is idle and downclocks.

Should also mention around full-load the temp averages between 59c and 65c, depends on how hard it's being worked, I actually don't remember how fast the fans are spinning at that point % wise, so, I can't give you an accurate idea of if it would get louder than it usually is.

Most 570's I'd say are NOT worth 60 quid more than the 560 Hawk ... but some of them I'd say are ... so which 570 are you looking at, exactly? You say Frozr III model, but I'm not sure exactly which one that is ... do you have a link to the exact model you're looking at?

Hi,

I decided to get away from the GTX 570 as I just couldn't afford any decent cards in the range. The latest I'm asking is The GTX 560Ti Frozr II vs GTX 560Ti Frozr III Hawk - whether it's worth the extra £35.

I've been looking around on here and some other sites and it looks like I'll be saving up that little bit extra for the Hawk.
