That's it brettjv, it's a helluva card too imo.
This would be correct (If I were looking at a GTX 570). I could afford it too, except I don't live in the US. Boo hoo. Our GFX card prices are still a little high.

Congrats Sheza. Might I suggest you come over to the Nvidia GTX 500 Series Owners Club and join up?

Also on the first page you will see a list of current owners in the club, each with their own 'Proof' required to join. Along with it some included their benchmarks. We do have a section for highest benchmark scores among members on that first page as well. They've taken screen shots of their over clock specs. You'll get a great idea of over clocks and scores that will help you decide your own.

Check out each member who owns a 560 and you'll get an idea of lowest to highest benched. Some are under water so please keep that in mind, but most on on air cooling.

Again enjoy your card, later down the road you SLI that little puppy and it will become a beast.

But the 6950 also costs more and the 2GB of VRAM isn't going to really get you anything gaming with one monitor at 1080p. I think a good move for you would be to get a nice edition of the 560, say the MSI Hawk edition 560 which is even cheaper than the 6950 by a little bit. Later down the line, if you want to SLI you can. As far as I know, the 560s also have a bit better SLI scaling than the 6950s in CFX, but the 6950s are the overall faster card by a little bit(and more expensive).

As far as drivers go, I've only owned nvidia in my life so I can't offer up my opinion on amd/nvidia there.
WHAT? The 1GB 6950 is cheaper by like 20 bucks, and SLI scaling sucks now. 6950s scale better than the 5xx series. Please don't give advise if it is horribly mistaken. 6950s scale better by about 5-15% in all cases.

Your right about AMD crossfire scaling being better than Nvidia SLI scaling. However your wrong that it sucks now. Last few drivers have improved the scaling of SLI but still not as good as AMD. One thing AMD you can give credit to is their cards have ALWAYS scaled better than Nvidia. It's just that Nvidia has closed that gap a bit, so it's not true they suck now. They've always been behind but have gotten better.

Umm no, 5870s scaled like crap. AMD scaled better with the 6xxx series.
