Got a Nook Color the other day + short review - Page 2

Not sure how many people own one of visit this subsection though. I keep forgetting it is even here.

Using the tablet for other stuff now as well now that I have got the hang of it (and most of the apps I wanted). Have an alarm set up which might just replace my actual alarm clock since then I can check the weather or news when I wake up.

Glad I didn't get a 10" tablet now since I wanted this primarily for reading and anything bigger might be awkward I think, I haven't had a chance to see one of the transformers though so who knows. I am just going to be upset once minecraft comes out for android and it doesn't run well on the NC (maybe it will though).

I just got my nook a couple of weeks ago. I'm currently plotting my route to dual booting. I currently have two copies of my default B&N load on it, one of which I'll replace with CM7.

I concur that we need a club, no matter how small (punny).

TTT -- I picked up a NC on a whim this morning on the way into work -- what method of rooting/flashing CM7 did you guys use? The one on the CM Wiki?

I followed a pair of threads over at xda. Basically, I copied the nook OS to a dual boot partition, then I installed the custom boot loader, and put a CM nightly on the first partition.

I rarely use the B&N install, but still have reservations about copying over either to install Honeycomb. Frodo just works.

I flashed a couple of nightlies, 7.0.3 and the 7.1RC last night -- 7.1 is quite good, it is much more responsive/smooth than stock/7.0.3 -- not as fast as my G2 on the latest nightly/Pershoot, but hey -- I'll take it.
