Try it with both the OC Drift BIOS and the MSI released BIOS.

Judging by the two screenshots you posted, those P# scores seem to how a slight increase upon unlock. I'm terribly interested in this thread because I've been thinking of 69xx series upgrade and just been dusting different trails to see what's up. Would love 2x 6950TFIII's in CF ESPECIALLY if they're more powerful than a 6990!

We need somebody to do the test which´s CPU is not bottlenecking.

good luck.. I havent tested on my i7 yet.. but I can tell you the i5 at 4.5ghz was not running tight enough latency for this GPU. Cutting latency resulted in 1FPS for 1ns latency cut. Im getting better results at 4.3ghz with tight timings than at 4.6ghz with faster RAM and looser latency.

*I will be testing my 6950 on my i7 rig soon now.

Lets get some AMD owners to test this thing!

The best trick to get better GPU performance is to run the RAM at high MHZ but the rated timings and the X-X-X-1 (CLT)

Owners of the TWFIII unite and share the result of the flash test!

This has nothing to do with anything latency related on a Clarkdale IMC.. sure its a good "general rule".. just like 'not poking yourself in the eye'. Your starting to butter your toast with a broad sword.. better pull back a bit KungP'd.

This is another reason why I tend to go with MSI.

..yeah and this whole stuff about the TFIII unlocking without GPU-Z recognizing the SP amount...

*im pretty skeptical. I have the GPU, and while there were gains using the other BIOS..I think they are related to the unlocked power cap..rather than any increase in SP's. I am flashing my 2nd BIOS back to the stock now to compare to the unlock for myself.
