I am so confident in kaspersky I offer people free virus removal if I install it. It's very very good, especially for smart users it's nearly flawless. AV only KIS firewall isn't that good, personally I hate firewalls... Only good one I've ever used was little snitch on Mac. Nothing compares

Kaspersky does it aswell.

Ive done allot of testing on this issue last night and this morning on my fresh windows 7 x64 install with just drivers/updates.

Itunes loads up fine, can download app updates fine, etc. But as soon as I plug in my Iphone 4 you hear windows detect it, it shows up in My computer letting you browse the photo storage, but Itunes just locks up. If it wasn't open already then it opens and locks up.

Soon as you unplug it, it unfreezes and works fine. I went nuts trying to figure it out, I disabled Eset Nod32 to no avail. Then I uninstalled Nod32 and it worked flawlessly.

After that I tested Kaspersky, MSE and Trend Micro Titanium (just the AV versions, not the ones bundled with a firewall) and all but Trend Micro seemed to cause that same conflict. Its really weird, I tried it on 2 separate installs.

go to your eventlog of both windows and the av product and check the cause of it.

To go over your security this is a good program to check where is holes in it

I use a corporate copy of super antipysware in the shop on clients computers, and the personal copies at home. Roughly 18 bucks for a lifetime license on sale.

I use Avira. I used to use Avast, and before that AVG. Bitdefender and Kaspersky are good as well.
