Is The Witcher 1 worth playing? - Page 4

Well I didn't like it at all and I love TW2. The first game is not as polished as TW2, and I really didn't like the combat. That being said many people do really like it so i'd say it's worth giving it a go, it got really good reviews too.

GoG is sort of like Steam but there is no game manager or requirement to have any external programs running to play the game.

You simply buy from GoG, download and thats it. No DRM, no GoG launcher, nothing.

Its a fantastic service and how I bought TW2. Will definitely be using it again. GoG > Steam

Ah, I read this in the FAQ for TW2 and was slightly concerned as I'm Australian. I want to know what editing before I buy it.

Will there be any censorship in your release?
The Witcher 2 will be uncensored, however the Australian version has been edited slightly. Due to licencing concerns the edited version will also be distributed to customers from New Zealand.
It sounds interesting... how GoG works though.

Just set your location to the USA and you will get an un-edited version

CD Projeckt put that option in deliberately once the Aus retail version was censored (they removed region IP tracking or w/e its called and let you set it manually)......hence why i love CD Projekt. Just set my location to the USA and got the unedited version of TW2

Ah sweet, thanks for the tip! I'm curious though, does it keep a list of what I've bought from them previously?

EDIT: And allow me to download it again anytime?

Ahahahaha, okay, duly noted.

Is all of GoG's stuff DRM free? Or only selected titles?

The Wicher 2 and Wicher are both excellent games and they are worth buying! but it's a little tough to get into because it's not as cut down as Mass Effect 2 of dragon age 2, but then again its my opinion :/
