Fable 3 performance Issues

Thread Starter
Hello all!

I'm getting terrible performance issues with Fable 3.

The frame rate fluctuates wildly between 150-15, and this doesn't seem to have much to do with the number of things that are going on screen.

And sometimes the frame rate would be around 70 yet the game would slow down and stutter.

Has anyone else come across these issues. or is it just me

Are you sure your processor aint bottlenecking your Gpu?
Try disabling anisotropic filtering.

Until it's patched / profiled - Disable shadows completely.

Draw distance is also a big performance killer. Set it low.

Something is wrong with how it is working with some of you ppls computers. It runs flawless for me maxed out at 1920x1200 resolution with vsync on or off. I keep vysnc off though so It runs at high fps. Or maybe new drivers need to come out for the 500 series.

Tone down water quality to 'normal' as well as turn shadows off. I find the game does NOT look bad at all with no shadows (reminds me of Fable TLC smile.gif ) and the water reflections pretty much look indentical to 'very high' only with a huge amount of saved frames in cities with alot of water.

Is a 560 weaker than a 470? Whats a 560 compared to even tho its a 500 generation is 560 vs 460 and 570 vs 470? And how much weaker are 460's to 470's? Is it enough that I'd be getting much better fps than some of you? confused.gif
