She better be a great chef to have you still working at 1680x1050.

All jokes aside, don't listen to what other people say about the game; it's your decision in the end. If you let people colour your judgment it won't be yours.

Personally, I can't stand Half-Life 2. I think it's boring. But that's probably because I only played it for the first time a year or two ago. Everything that was new and innovative about it wasn't new anymore. But if I were to say to someone "hey you're not missing anything by skipping HL2" I probably wouldn't be too accurate. Everyone's got different tastes, don't let someone ruin your favourite franchise for you. It'll be the same with me and Skyrim: I love Oblivion so I'll just keep my ears shut and see what Skyrim delivers.

DEHR is implementing Tessalation and DX11 at this point. I am sure it isnt going to blow anyone away in the GFX department it isn't going to be horrible looking either.

Vhati: I prefer single player, one man slaughterhouse games. Unstuctured semi-role playing. Not online multi or those that require me to control squads. Based on your remarks I will be buying Witcher 2, though.

CasanovaFly: I know this is sacriligious to most, but I agree with you in regards to HL2. Have not been gaming at all since BioShock which had a lot of atmosphere. Will be looking into Oblivion and Skyrim.

I don't dig the online experience that much either. That's why I have a 360, for my Halo 3 online needs. I'm not even good, it's just a nice way to spend an evening with friends. And trash-talking the ***** out of people.

I hated Bioshock. I gave HL2 more of a chance than Bioshock, though. Might try again, but who knows. I found it too weird. I strongly STRONGLY recommend Oblivion though. I love it. Great immersive RPG. You do what you want, when you want, at whatever pace and scope you want. There's also a great modding community behind it to keep it fresh, too. I'd look up the Nehrim mod; apparently it's like a whole new game.
