As the title says.
What's the best way to test for acceleration in a mouse?

TIA

I would say, go ingame - change sens to need ur whole mousepad for a 360° turn - move the mouse fast along your mousepad and see if u still reach the point u actually should, or if ur further than that.

This. Do the 360 several times at different speeds, and if they all end up in the same place you're free of accel.

I have the exact same problem. In Deus Ex the mouse acceleration is on and it really sucks.

Does anyone know how to turn it off with a command or a launch option?

I am using a Logitech G5 with the SetPoint drivers.

yes this mousefix will remove all acceleration ingame and on desktop
http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.com/2010/04/markc-mouse-acceleration-fix-builder.html

but of course it can not disable the acceleration your mouse itself has
