LOL I'd like to see that one...
Because AMD doesn't want to risk anything with the flagship FX,there may be benefits to showing Bulldozer pre-launch info, but the risks may be larger than the benefit.

the risk that jf-amd pointed about messing up the sales of current platform sales is totaly legit ....

if your product is so bad it will not only mess up current sales ... but will mess up future sales ... if the product is so good it will mess up current sales until the product that is so good comes out ...

its a double edged sword ... we wont know until the official benchmarks come out ....

Here's the clarification on the matter as to why Bulldozer isn't being leaked prior to the Launch/Release. I posted this in the Other thread but I thought it would be worth reposting.

hey hohn…why amd don`t want to give us any information earlyer before launch date? if you give this you will stop people to buy sandy bridge and more users will take bulldozer if they see faster what he can
we really don`t understand .

It is a standard practice in the industry. Releasing data ahead of the launch can mess up not only your supply chain but also your partners’ supply chains..

So why does Intel do this? Correct me if I am wrong but aren't there plenty of info for Ivy and SB-E right now?

AMD isn't Intel. Intel can afford to leak their products months before release as their net profits are gargantuan. However AMD is the 'Underdog' in the CPU Market and as such it doesn't adhere or follow similar practices that Intel does. This is Bulldozer we are talking about. This is the culmination of nearly 3 years development. This is a massive project that requires the utmost secrecy and discretion. Yes AMD does discuss the architecture and what Bulldozer will bring to the table however that is different from 'Leaking' or giving 'Previews' especially in terms of performance prior to the Launch/Release.

In regards to Ivy Bridge and SB-E we currently have information on X79 and the Roadmaps but we don't have additional details. Yes there is vague processor information but it is not complete. Remember AMD isn't Intel and they both have different market practices.

Intel is also all professional when it comes to vapour devices. They can say whatever they want to scare people into waiting, because it won't be coming out any time soon...
