Seasonic X-850 vs BeQuiet P9 850

Which one of these PSU's would you buy, and why?

I cant decide, so I need input from you guys

-Seasonic X-850
-BeQuiet! Dark Power Pro P9 850

The Seasonic is like 50 euro more expensive. But is it 50 euro better?

I need more input, from more people. 1 input aint gonna justify my choise right away.

The BeQuiet is more quiet, acording to what ive read on the internet. So thats a plus to that unit.

PCSarge: Where do you gain the fact, that the seasonic is a more reliable unit and provides cleaner power, compared to that BeQuiet! P9 PSU???

I'm not 100% sure who that BQ! unit is made by... it's either FSP or Topower. Either way, the Seasonic X-850 is much better.

They don't know what they're talking about if they recommended the BQ! over the Seasonic. Cancel if you can.

Way to make a thread asking for advice, question that advice as soon as it is given, then immediately go against that advice.

We could have found you a nice middle ground if you couldn't afford the X850. Too late now I guess.

Pretty sure the P9 850W is an FSP unit. Average overall, except I'm pretty sure it's group regulated, which is meh for an 850W. The X850 is better in every way, but is expensive. But I'm sure there are at least a few other units that fall in-between these two in terms of price, quality, and performance.

And odds are that you don't even need an 850W. 90% of enthusiast computers are fine on a 650W or less.

But the BeQuiet is quieter. It says quiet in the name Phaedrus, you damn noob! rolleyes.gif

OP, should have waited for more replies. The X850 is arguably the best 850W PSU on the market today. You get what you pay for.

Plus.. a 600W can run that system with ease.
My system, which is almost the same as yours pulls only ~500W at full folding load....

quick edit: Funny.. Me being the noob with a 750W when all I needed was 600... but yeah, sale + favorite brand.. I kinda had to >.>
