Corsair H-50 Dying?

Thread Starter
In the last few days, I've had my system suddenly shut down without a blue screen. I've noticed a slight buzz coming from my H-50 and the CPU temp readout on my motherboard keeps fluctuating a few degrees. It's not running too hot, (37 degrees max when gaming) but definitely not as cool as it used to be. The H-50 is less than a year old. Is it on it's deathbed?

TIA

Slight buzz from your pump should be normal. And with your temps, I highly doubt it's dying. Only way to really know is to run HWmonitor or something similar and monitor your pump RPM. Should be around 1400RPM IIRC.

Can you check the cause of the shutdown in Event viewer... maybe that will give you a clue.

Also, it is highly unlikely that these crashes are due to an overheating processor. 37*C while gaming is very very cool, and miles away from the 100*C TJ Max.

Agreed with above, you should check out other issues. This sounds more like a PSU issue, but without further testing I can't say for sure as there's a million reasons why a computer would shut down.

To me, though, it sounds like perhaps your PSU is shutting off the PC to protect it from itself or a surge, something a good PSU should do. You have a 950 watt PSU which is way above what your system would actually use, though. So... I'm at a loss until you can give us some more details...

Check the H50's Radiator for dust buildup, mines a dust collector....
