ASUS GTX480 Idle temps

Thread Starter
Latley, my GTX480 has been idleing at some fairly strange tempatures

When I first ever had the card about 3 months ago, it idled around 42C.... and over the following months to now it's justslowly gone high and higher, where it is now idleing at 54-49C, just constantly jumping with my custom fan profile.

GPU Usage is around 0-2%, so I'm not sure what to do :/

Have you tried cleaning out the cooler with a can of compressed air, sounds like dust is to blame tbh?

I took off the plastic cover that surrounds the heatsink and the fan, but there's barely any dust there to get rid off :/ still looks brand new within the inside

Hi Atomfix, you could also make sure the case fans and system in general is clear of dust etc. Just give it a good clean and see if it affects temperatures.
